EVERYTHING ABOUT SHEET EXTRUSION LINES

Extrusion is to make objects of a fixed by putting material through a die of the desired cross-section. A different type of extrusion process includes hot, cold, friction, and micro extrusion. The sheet extrusion line is used to make flat plastic sheets from various resins. Plastic extrusions are an easy way to produce plastic products economically and efficiently. There is no wastage and a lot of volumes are produced. The metal is restricted to a closed cavity and passed through only one opening so that the product takes shape of the opening. For example, anything that is squeezed from a tube comes in a cylindrical shape taking the shape of the opening. 

A sheet extrusion line,  corrugated pipe extrusion line,  gasket extrusion line, granule production line, hose extrusion line, polycarbonate extrusion line, pipe extrusion line, PVC window, and Panel extrusion line are different production lines in an extrusion industry. Calendaring machine, co –extruder, single screw extruder, triple extruder, granulator machine, twin-screw extruder, extrusion haul-off unit, and cutting unit are some of the products in the extrusion industry. When the extrusion of the material takes place below recrystallization it is cold extrusion while when the material is extruded above recrystallization it is hot extrusion. 

The sheet extrusion line helps in producing packaging applications like deli containers, cups, baby wipe containers, etc. with the help of thinner sheets. The thicker sheets are used in various industrial applications like pallets, automotive equipment, etc. They are also used in mining applications and waste disposal. Wires, tubes, are manufactured with hot extrusion processes while cold extrusion is used in making collapsible tubes, aluminum cans, etc. 

A sheet extrusion line includes a single extruder or twin screw with a screen changer and a gear pump. It has a static mixer that fees a flat sheet die.  The sheets are cooled on a roll stack by applying temperature and pressure.  The sheets are later cut into different lengths or rolled.  An extruder is a machine having a cylinder with an internal motor plasticizing and leaving out polymer.  The screen changer is a device meant to filter impurities from the liquid polymer which is continuous. The continuity of the device helps in avoiding shutting off the machine when the screen is full. A gear pump is designed to provide the uniform output which is possible due to two gears rotating in a close-fitting. The pressure controller maintains the uniform input pressure from the extruder.  The static mixer is another important component of the sheet extrusion line containing fixed broad blades assisting in breaking the polymer into small streams. Single screw extruders, extrusion dies, cutters, stackers, polishing stacks are some of the components of sheet extrusion lines.  The sheet lines are customized according to the customers' requirements and are available for plates and sheets of desired thickness.  The final products derived are plastic sheets of varying degrees of quality, different formats,  surfaces, and many more related things.  The main advantage of sheet extrusion lines is for extrusion of thermoplastic materials.
